Bonjour whirly and welcome to the has-anyone-seen-my-cap stock forums .
The stock pages eg (EMAAR) have current market cap but it's tedious to go through each one and have a look. There's another page with a list but it's hopelessly out of date, and I'm working on an update. I'll try and do an abbreviated version and give you link later today.
In the meantime, try the stock market websites - they have daily spreadsheet downloads of data including market capitalisation. You should find them all on the UAE stockmarket links page. _________________ UAE IPO list | posting guidelines
I keep on working on that. Feel free to give me any useful tips. I am a complete newbie on that market and our company is looking forward to develop solid relationships with local investors.
Do you know someone aware about investors interest in France and/or small and midcap? I can call him.
I'm still working on it so if you have, or anyone else has, any comments or suggestions or spot any errors, please reply here. I know:
- table formatting slightly off when printing
- delisted stocks (EBI) (NBD) are still included, (FPI) also still included
- PE not included yet
- some stocks not yet listed, eg (TAIB), are included
- not all DIFX stocks are included
- no sorting on columns yet _________________ UAE IPO list | posting guidelines
I've updated the UAE stock picker with PEs for last year and last quarter, average (plain, and weighted by market cap), market cap total and average.
There's also a currency chooser.
Have fun, reply here with comments, especially if you think there are mistakes . I know that:
- Some Kuwait companies shares outstanding are not up to date (it's difficult finding dividend record dates )
- I still have to add some DIFX companies and a couple of recent other listings.
Average market PE seems much higher than I thought it was - 20 for 2007 FY and 19 for 2008 Q1, but that's unweighted (so small companies like Asmak with a PE of 340 and 270 have an unreasonable effect). Weighting by market cap seems to be more sensible but I think there might be a better option?
Have added a selector so you can choose last quarter, current quarter, or just leave page to output data from whichever is the latest quarter (new quarter results are highlighted).
Have also tidied up the page printing a bit so each page has a table header (further cosmetic refinement is more fiddly than worth doing for now).
Problem with including unlisted or delisted companies should have been fixed. Still need to fix Kuwait companies shares outstanding data, and add all DIFX companies.
As before, if you have suggestions, comments, questions, find errors about the page, please reply here. I need your feedback for improvements . _________________ UAE IPO list | posting guidelines
UAE stock list updated with average for Profit Growth and PE for FY and latest quarters, PBV, and ROE for latest quarters only.
Averages - unweighted, weighted by market cap, or weighted by Net Profit.
The weighting by Net Profit needs a bit of explanation as I can't find any background material, so I made it up myself. The reason for it is to try and smooth out complete nonsense figures, for example a 46,000% profit increase for National General Insurance (NGI) from 2006FY to 2007FY hugely distorts the unweighted average for the market, and even more so for the insurance sector. Using Net Profit as a weighting factor, dampens down those extreme values considerably. Much more so than using the Market Cap.
Hover over company name link to see FY and quarter profit summary. Company name and a couple of other columns are not printed out (so that printed page fits on A4 width without losing stuff over the edge). Abbreviated column headings should be printed on each new page.
Dividend Yield is almost done. There was a hiccup but I've forgotten what it was ...
Any comments, suggestions, error notifications are welcome (especially if you can find any errors) . _________________ UAE IPO list | posting guidelines
