Hello everyone,
Any suggestions on what trading service I should choose from to trade in international markets, after my humble research I am considering etrade.com or internaxx.lu ...
(I only trade in UAE markets, and maybe soon in other GCC markets.)
But, a couple of months ago, I called etrade inquiring about alibaba.com IPO in Hongkong market, even though etrade has offices in Hongkong. They told me my Dubai account would only allow trading in U.S. stocks and if I wanted to buy shares in Hongkong I would have to open another account with etrade in Hongkong. Which made me back off etrade at that time...
Where as internaxx.lu offers, according to them, trading in more than 15 markets using one account:
Internaxx:
Internaxx provides international investors with access to shares from all the major exchanges.
Equities from more than 15 exchanges in North America, Europe and Asia can be traded real-time, online and by telephone from 8.00 to 22.00 CET.
North America
New York (NYSE, Nasdaq, Amex)
Toronto (TSE)
Europe
Frankfurt (Xetra)
Euronext Paris
London (LSE, AIM)
Euronext Amsterdam
Euronext Brussels
Madrid (IBEX)
Zurich (SWX)
Stockholm (SX)
Milan
Asia*
Singapore (SGX)
Hong Kong (HKEX)
Australia (ASX)
You can place, without any additional charges, different types of orders: market orders, limit orders, stop loss orders (only on US, UK, Canadian, Euronext and Xetra markets).
I would not trade using Internaxx. Their services and support is very bad and their systems trading US markets often break down. They are not very truthful about their execution capabilities and from most of the other trading systems I use I would not rate them highly. I have slowed down the trading on them and am looking for other better options.
