Qatar Telecom (QTEL) profit figures for first quarter 2008 are (EPS annualised in brackets):

2008 Q1 profit = AED 530m +10.6% from 2007 Q1, EPS = 4.82 dhs (19.30 )
2007 Q1 profit = AED 480m, EPS = 4.36 dhs

QTEL share price at close on 01 May 2008 was 220 dhs, so 2008 estimated PE is about 220 / 19.30 = 11.4, based on Q1 earnings, which is somewhat lower than the average market PE of about 16, and cheaper looking than (ETISALAT), the UAE based telecom operator.
