Bothe Khaleej Times and Gulf News had reports this morning about the formation of the Aswaaq supermarket chain, inlcuding a comment that there would be an Initial Public Offering (IPO). No further details were given.

While Dubai government will own 45 per cent stake in the company, the remaining shares will be owned by the public and will be listed on the stock market.
