NCTH Director General resignation

Mr Al Romaithi resigned from the DG position at NCTH. He was also Managing Director, I guess that's the same thing? Or are they separate positions?

Resignation of Director General of NCTH We would like to inform that the Corporation’s board of directors in its meeting no. 14 (third round) held on 11 December 2007, has decided to accept the resignation of Mr. Abdulla K. M. Al Romaithi from his position as Director General. Until further notice, Mr. Fahad Ahmed Al Awadi (Deputy Managing Director) will act as Director General with immediate effect.
