Umm Al Qaiwain Cement announces preliminary financial results for the year 2006
Oops. A company showing a loss. Well it's not so bad, only 100% loss. ASMAK the fish farm was 20 times worse than that.
A pattern has clearly emerged, actually it emerged several companies ago. Cement companies lost big in the stock market crash. It looks like Umm Al Quwain Cement was the worst of them though in percentage terms.
There are several comments in the management summary, I won't quote them all, just this one which explains it nicely. Some days you're up, and some days you're down...
