ASFS was one of two brokers banned yesterday (Golden Gate Securities was the other) without any specific reason given but possibly to do with non-compliance of filing regulations. Golden Gate Securities (GGS discussion) was the other.

Presumably Al Safwa Financial Services and Al Safwa Islamic Financial Services are the same company - on the ASIFS website they use the ASFS name...

Good news for Al Safwa Financial Services. Now it makes more sense that they are advertising - I had seen ads appear on various websites for them in the past couple of days and wondered why they bothered if they were banned.
